The most coveted dream comes true when the Kathak legend Pandit Birju Maharaj inaugurated the music room KOMAL GANDHAR of our school, dedicated in the memory of our beloved teacher, the founder member Late Smt. Monika Sen. This would have remained a distant dream without the support and initiative of Sh. Sukanta Bhattacharjee, Principal of our school and the members of our managing committee.
The room is well equipped with all modern facilities viz. various musical instruments and sound system. It also has the provision of a projector and arrangement of conducting seminars comprising 100 people. Along with music, students perform their dance and yoga classes here too. The outer wall of the room is engraved with famous 'Terracotta work' conceived by Sh. Dhiren Mete, our senior Art teacher.
The students of VNBS are thankful to have a versatile vocalist and musician, teacher Sh. Avik Chatterjee, MA music from Rabindra Bharati University, West Bengal. We are proud to mention that under his guidance the students have shown immense improvement in the field of dance and music. Several programmes of the school have already been highly appreciated by distinguished people in different parts of Delhi. Best wishes for them. Hope in future they would gain more success and make the school proud.
