Good atmosphere, environment and infrastructure are pre requisition for all round development of a student. In this regard, I take this opportunity to convey my thanks to our Governing Body for their whole hearted support for creating beautiful environment and developing infrastructure. With their support (i) boundary wall, class rooms and terrace have been renovated (2) an emergency exit stair case has been built up for disaster management (3) computer room has been renovated, modified and new computers has been installed. In this context we are really thankful to the Delhi Government and are hopping the same support in future. We have a plan to provide the same facility for junior classes with computer Lab. (4) Biology Lab has been modified with modern technological tools.
Our school was established in the year 1952 with a noble object to provide value based education to downtrodden students with the help of our dedicated teachers and staff. We are holding the same legacy. At present academic session 2016-17 our student strength is 1250. School identity reflects showing Board results. Now, I am presenting the Board result of last session 2015-16. We have achieved 100% result like previous session with number of students getting distinction marks have risen considerably. Number of distinctions in English, Physics, Chemistry, Political Science, Bengali have remarkably increased. Here, I want to thank our teachers for their worth effort. They had taken extra classes for academically weak student, in summer & winter break. In secondary level also we achieved 90% result and number of students secured grade - A.
During this session, number of students have achieved distinctions in various fields. One of our student. Manojit Chatterjee has been awarded by CBSE for his excellent tenth result. He secured A+ Grade in all subjects. In Science Exhibition, poster competition and music competition our students secured number of prizes in district level. Our student, have also excelled in co-curricular activities like debate, quiz, creative writing, extempore etc. other than cultural and sports event they have performed remarkably well in the field of rock climbing competition both in states & national level. Sir/Madam, you will be happy to know that Sh. Soumen Ghosh of 1972 batch is a member of the team of scientists in Mangalaya Project which make a history. Sh. Gaurab Sharma of 2002 batch has joined IIT, Kanpur as Associate Professor in 2015.
